July seems like a pretty solid month for HBO Max, with some great stuff hitting the service. Numerous hit movies like The Long Walk and The Drama arrive, as does a new comedy from the Big Bang Theory crew. Here are our top choices for the best content coming to HBO Max in June 2026.
The evolution of Burning Man from a scrappy group of filthy artists in the mid-1980s to a multinational, multi-million-dollar gathering of tech elites and wannabes can be seen as a metaphor for the world as a whole, so the time is right for a documentary exploring how it all happened. Co-directed by The Vow's Jehane Noujaim and Vikram Gandhi, this four-part series dives deep into the twists and turns of Burning Man, with access to leadership from throughout the years.
Steven King is the horror author with the most pieces of his work adapted, and there are still many, many stories left to film. The Long Walk is based on a 1979 novel and follows a group of 50 boys in a grueling contest in which they must maintain a three-mile-per-hour walking pace for days on end, with the punishment for failure being death. Great performances and cinematography make this one worth catching.
In this Big Bang Theory spin-off, comic book store owner Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman) is unwittingly thrust into the role of multiversal repairman after he breaks an experimental device and shatters the boundary between alternate dimensions. The move to streaming lets the cast get weird with it, and we're promised twisted versions of familiar characters and lots of absurd situations.
